Allure of the Divide. This is one of my favorite pieces and is hung in the area between my dining room and living room.

It came together in unexpected layers. I didn’t start with the idea of a central panel, but once that golden divide formed, everything else had to support it. The textures on each side took shape slowly—building contrast without overwhelming the balance. There’s something satisfying about the tension between symmetry and erosion here, I hope.

It’s elegant without being flashy, and it plays really well in neutral spaces with subtle gold accents. I kept the palette grounded—warm taupe, off-white, textured stone, and soft black. It could complement everything from minimal modern interiors to more rustic spaces.

Ideal for contemporary living rooms, entryways, or anywhere that could use a focal piece with a quiet intensity. I can also be hung in a variety of ways to suit your space or to mix it up from time to time and make it feel fresh. I initially was doing it with the black being along the bottom, but when I flipped it vertically, I liked it better. In one of the samples, I show it with the black along the bottom.
